Growing Pains...The Journey of a Diamond

"Is it 2017 yet?!"

I know it souds funny, but as I sit back and read through the current events or watch the news, I can only imagine the countless number of individuals in the world feeling that way. Wanting to run away from a life of pain, heartache or disappointments; believing a new year will bring about a new life or a change. At times, I too feel like running away seems like a better solution than facing whatever troubles I may be going through - it's human nature to have doubts, worries and fears.

However, I have realized I must enduring all of the struggle, pain and stay dedicated, to experience the change I am expecting. Otherwise, how can I expect to feel the joy of triumph?

There is a season for everything, and as hard as we may try, we cannot force the seasons to change. As I go through my day, any pain or struggle I experience, I must have faith in my decisions and in the process; that this temporary pain is to bring about awareness, necessary for change. Just as applying the proper amount of pressures and temperature to graphite can turn it into a diamond.

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." Ecclesiastes 3

As we grow in our faith and build our confidence we will manifest the things we ask for. And we will naturally desire more from life, because that is how we are created and how the world evolves - believing in and working for our desires, the manifestation of our desires, which create new ideas, and so forth and so on.

"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." Luke12:48

So, stay strong on your journey to becoming a diamond! Be forgiving and kind to yourself through your 'growing pains' ...it's only for a season. You got this - it's what you were created for!
